I had been almost sure which dog to use for Sarah’s litter long before we had our third trip to England with the object of searching for the perfect sire for the pups in October 2007.  Since then I have been certain.

It is a big decision to make, there is so much to take into consideration before choosing a stud dog. Apart from 'show qualities' my priorities are health and temperament as some of the puppies will probably be family pets.  It is also important that the parents’ pedigrees go together well, that they are the same type but not too closely bred.

Both are clear of CLAD and PRA (rcd-1), and hip scored with great results – see pedigree.

As a careful breeder, although just a beginner, my aim is to find suitable loving homes for all our future puppies, where
they will get the individual attention they need for the next 10-15 years. All inquirers who already know the responsibility that goes with owning an Irish Setter or are willing to learn more and don’t mind making changes in their lives if it is necessary, are WELCOME!

We will do our best to make the puppies well socialised little characters before leaving for their new homes, and will give them a good start in life to hopefully become pleasant companions later on. Whenever you may ask my advice I will gladly help you, although the greater part of the work will be YOURS. Furthermore you are supposed to let us know how the puppy is getting on, and we will always be waiting for news and photos of him/her. Hopefully you are open to make friends with us, as all the aboves are much easier to carry out in this way.

If you would like to know more of the parents, or you have any question about the litter, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Considered inquirers are welcome!
